Watsu® was presented to the international community as the first form of Aquatic Bodywork in 1980 by Harold Dull, a loved poet and visionary and a revolutionary for a new humanism.

Harold studied with the creator of Zen Shiatsu in Japan Shizuto Masunaga. Watsu® combines the therapeutic benefits of warm water with the harmonizing effects of Zen Shiatsu. There is a merging edge of 3D moves and a gentle resemblance to earlier stages of life.

WATA is the abbreviation of “WasserTanzen” a German abbreviation that means WaterDance.

WATA was first conceived by Arjana C. Brunschwiler who brought the dance into play in 1987 and her companion, who brought the movement of Aikido in a subaquatic underwater dance choreography of submergence and emergence free movements wearing a nose clip.

Over time, it has developed with alternative names but the core practice remains with Arjana and Minakshi, a senior WATSU® Practitioner who was there from the embrionary early stages of the work and saw its reaches.

My responsibility as a certified WATA, TCSA™ and Watsu® professional is to ensure a safe environment and offer unconditional support often times necessary and «holding space» as required to facilitate the receiver´s body own mechanisms to cope with co-regulation.

  • Then adventure begins
  • Synchronicities spontaneously arise.
  • There is a sense of the world outside and inside as filled up with the abundance of all possibilities, including your body own latent inner resources.
